When Callee and I were talking about her engagement session and wedding the excitement just built and built. She told me first her wedding was in Charleston at Boone Hall and y’all already know how much I love Charleston. She then told me Alex was in the Navy and she went to USC, and wanted to have her engagements at the Horseshoe. Go Gamecocks! Thennnn she asked if she could bring her boykin, Kooper, to the session. Like could it be a more perfect match? I don’t think so.

Needless to say, I was super stoked for her engagement session. When I arrived, and saw Alex in his Navy uniform I literally thought to myself “I am about to get some freaking amazing pictures of these two precious people,” and oh boy was I right. It was the perfect day in downtown and I am sure I prayed the rain away! Callee said she had cut off all of her hair that day and it looked adorable. On top of that, they had the cutest props for their boykin.

There are two things I loved most about this session.

  1. Her mom and maid of honor came to help with Kooper and to be her personal stylist. The entire time they were so helpful and asking if they could carry stuff for me and I couldn’t be more appreciative.

  2. Callee and Alex could not be a sweeter of a couple! Seriously, I feel like I say that about all the couples I work with, but with these two it could not be truer. They are just two of the most positive people and just have the kindest hearts. It’s just a privilege of knowing them!

I take that back there was one more thing I loved… CALLEE’S RING!

OH.MY.GOODNESS. I think I spent 20 minutes just taking photos of her ring. I am not kidding. It is absolutely gorgeous and all the detail was stunning. Pictures do not even do it justice. Alex did a fantastic job I would say.

We finished out the session at the state house and literally just kept shooting till the light ran out. They were such troopers through the heat just having so much fun together. Callee and Alex were constantly thanking me throughout the session, andddd the message I received from Callee after I delivered the session literally made me tear up! (Like I said the sweetest people) I can’t wait till their wedding next year at Boone Hall and to spend more time with these sweet people… and hopefully their boykin.
