Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe | Anchorage 1770 Inn | Beaufort, SC

I met Leigh when she was my resident her freshman year at Wofford. I will never forget I called her name and said “LE-SESS-KNEE,” and Lesesne is a name that Wofford people should know how to say. There is even a dorm called Lesesne on campus! Good thing she’s a Wolfe now, I can definitely pronounce that!

Since knowing Leigh I have seen how kind she is to everyone and how easily she can make friends with everyone she meets. Even in her Freshman year I could see her maturity so it was no surprise when she started dating Jay. Leigh and Jay have gone through so much together already so early in their lives. They have been long distance, they have dealt with sickness, and now they are becoming not only husband and wife, but also parents. Though they have only been together a few years, their maturity and connection seem of one of a long marriage! You can truly tell they are each other’s support systems and encouragers.

Leigh and Jay’s wedding is one that I will always remember. They planned the wedding in only 4 short months but everything was perfect down to every detail! There was so much careful thought and planning you could tell that went into it all. Leigh and her mom, Amy, seriously pulled off amazingly.

Leigh’s parents own an Inn in Beaufort called the Anchorage 1770 Inn and the entire wedding party was able to stay the weekend, get ready there, and the reception was held there. Just two blocks down Leigh and Jay got married at the First Presbyterian Church, a little white church located in heart of Beaufort. Everything about Leigh and Jay’s wedding was quintessential Beaufort from the Spanish moss, Inn overlooking marsh, gospel choir leading guest to the inn, the horse drawn carriage they left it, and the gorgeous sunset we took bride and groom photos at.

Leigh and Jay’s wedding day was also an emotional one for everyone. The moment Leigh put on her wedding dress her mama, sister, and bridesmaids all began to cry, and then she did the first look with her dad and it was all over from there. The first dances were incredibly sweet, the speeches were heartfelt, and it all led to Leigh and Jay cutting their cake and announcing they are having a baby GIRL!!! It was a surprise to everyone!

I cannot wait to see these two become parents and spend the rest of their lives together! But for now, I hope they are enjoying their time in Punta Cana. Congrats you guys! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me be a part of it all!
