Another wedding second shooting with Celia G Photographie in the books, and honestly, she was probably annoyed with how much I said “this is the best wedding I have ever been to”’ but it was true. Rosanna and Alan’s day was filled with family, friends, Charleston, good drinks, family style dinner, cake and cannoli’s, local coffee, cotton candy, dancing, late night grilled cheeses and French fries, and lastly a sparkler exit!

What made their wedding day stick out to me was how intentional it was. Their reception alone was six hours but didn’t feel that way because of the family style dinner where everyone just sat and chatted with each other. It was truly special and I have never been a part of a reception quite like it.

Rosanna and Alan made sure their wedding reception was this intentional because the Monday after their wedding they were leaving for Hawaii where Alan was being stationed. Not only was this wedding a celebration of their love but also a farewell party with all their closest family and friends.

Rosanna and Alan are from New York but decided that they wanted their wedding in the charming city of Charleston after Alan was stationed there for a while and that’s where they got engaged. Rosanna’s entire Italian family came from New York and even Italy to celebrate and Alan’s family came down from Illinois.

Honestly, both of their families reminded me of mine that it made me giggle. They loved each other, picked at each other, felt so comfortable with each other, and not afraid to tell each other how it is. Isn’t that the best kind to family?
